Today we’re announcing the expansion of our new Spectacles to Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain -- the first six markets where they’ll become available outside of the US.
We introduced the fifth generation of Spectacles and our brand-new operating system Snap OS last month at our annual Snap Partner Summit. The following day at Lens Fest, a group of Lens developers, creators, and enthusiasts received Spectacles and a developer program subscription to begin exploring the platform.
Since launching Spectacles, developers have already built amazing Lenses and we have received extensive interest from the global AR developer community.
Now, even more developers can apply to build and share Lenses for Spectacles. For €110 per month with a 12-month commitment required, a subscription will provide access to Spectacles and the Spectacles team, helping developers bring their projects to life.*
Spectacles will begin shipping to developers in select countries in the coming weeks, and we’ll launch in additional markets in 2025.
