Empowering Content Creation with New Tools, Features, and Insights

We're continually inspired by the creativity and passion of our diverse community, where over 1 billion Snaps are shared publicly each month by Snapchatters, creators, and partners. ¹ We're excited to introduce a suite of new tools, features, and insights that make it easier than ever to create, share, and watch content. These updates are designed to empower creators to capture their realest moments on Snapchat.

We’re making it faster and easier for Snapchatters to create Lens-powered videos from their saved Memories. Available globally on iOS, Snapchatters can select a few Memories, choose a song from Snapchat’s Sounds library, pick your favorite template, and generate a custom compilation video. 

With total time spent viewing content on Snapchat up year-over-year, creators are engaging their audiences and driving real impact like never before. We recently rolled out new insights across Stories and Spotlight — making it easier than ever for our global community of creators to optimize their content and continue to get rewarded for doing what they do best: being their authentic selves on Snapchat.

• Returning Viewers – the number of viewers who watched a creator’s public content for at least 12 days over the last month. Repeat viewership reflects real connection and interest. Creators can share this metric with brands to demonstrate audience loyalty.

• Top Content – a creator’s most watched Spotlight posts and Public Stories by total views over the last 28 days.

• Total View Time – a creator’s total view time across Spotlight posts, Public Stories, and Profile Stories. 

• Views by Traffic Sources – creators can see Content and Profile views based on the source of the view, including Discover For You, Following, Spotlight, Search, Chat, and Profile.

• Spotlight Average View Time – the average amount of time Snapchatters spend watching a creator’s Spotlight posts.

• Spotlight Average View Rate – the average percent of a creator’s Spotlight posts that Snapchatters completed watching. 

We’re rolling out a significant new feature for creators: Auto-Save Stories to Public Profiles! Now, Snapchatters can automatically save their public Stories directly to their profile, so fans can catch up on and revisit their favorite creator content. No more worrying about Stories disappearing after 24 hours! The new feature, coming soon to creators around the world, helps creators build a lasting collection of their best moments, giving fans a deeper look into their creative journey and making it easier to keep content alive, accessible, and meaningful over time.

Also coming soon to US creators: a new, more intuitive way to edit videos directly on Snapchat. Timeline Editor enables creators to see their videos in a chronological format, making it easy to cut-and-paste segments. From there, layer on Lenses, music from the Sounds library, various creative tools, and more — perfect for putting together a standout Story or longer Spotlight video.
