Here at Snapchat, we love to celebrate the diversity of our community. For Pride, we’re recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community throughout the month with new content, partnerships, and fun creative tools to make it easy for Snapchatters to join the celebration and express themselves.
On Spotlight, we teamed up with Snap Stars within our LGBTQIA+ community to launch our Pride 2023 hosted Spotlight Challenges. Starting June 1 through June 27, Snapchatters can show off their most hilarious comedy sketches, best outfits and glam for Pride, favorite queer-owned business, and most impressive trick shot on Spotlight.
Snapchatters can submit to the #ComedySketch hosted by Khadi Don (@khadidon), #GRWMPRIDE hosted by Bri Hall (@iambrihall), #QueerOwnedBusiness hosted by Mattie & Carter (@westbrouck & @carterkench33) and #TrickShotChamp hosted by Crissa Jackson (@crissa_ace) here, via the Spotlight Trending Page, for a chance to win a share of $40,000.
Bitmoji avatars have brought joy to millions of people around the world by empowering them to be their unique, authentic selves, which is complemented by the Nike Be True focus of fostering inclusivity and representation for all. Bitmoji is partnering with Nike to drop a digital replica of the limited-edition Be True Hoodie — the physical version is available exclusively on Nike.com and in Nike stores as part of their annual Pride collection. Click here to claim the hoodie for your Bitmoji, which will be added to your avatar’s outfit and saved to ‘My Closet’ on Snapchat to wear even after the Drop ends.
We’re also introducing SEEN Camera, a new AR experience that empowers people to tell and share their stories to create a positive impact on the world. Snapchatters are encouraged to publish their coming out stories made with SEEN Camera to Spotlight or send their Snaps to friends, Groups, or Stories of their choice. In addition to showing your Pride on Spotlight and Bitmoji, Snapchatters can celebrate throughout the month and beyond with new Lenses, filters, stickers, and captions!
