Disney and Snapchat Launch Marketing Campaign for Zootopia 2
In celebration of the release of Zootopia 2, Snapchat has teamed up with Disney on a first-of-its-kind marketing campaign that brings the world of Zootopia to life, both on and off the app. The campaign features the characters Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Clawhauser, as well as our very own Snapchat community, using the app to connect with friends and “Say it in a Snap.”

This will include real-world OOH activations across iconic locations in Los Angeles, like The Grove and The Americana. And when fans head to theaters for Zootopia 2, they’ll spot a fun on-screen cameo of Snapchat reimagined as “Snapcat,” when Clawhauser takes a selfie with an AR Lens during a Gazelle concert.
On Snapchat, fans in the US will receive a Sponsored Snap starring the characters, directly in their Chat inboxes. Snapchatters everywhere can also unlock seven new AR Lenses inspired by the dynamic characters, available in a Zootopia 2-branded AR Bar running in our Lens carousel from November 24 to 27.

Zootopia 2 is all about connection, humor, and heart, and bringing that to life beyond the screen with Snapchat has been such a joy. Together, we’ve created new and unexpected ways for fans to interact with their favorite characters and share those moments with friends and family.
Disney continues to set the bar for world-building and storytelling, and we’re thrilled to collaborate on such an innovative 360 campaign for Zootopia 2. Together, we’ve created experiences that blur the line between animation and reality — from AR and digital to real-world activations and in-film integrations. This partnership shows how Snap’s technology can extend stories far beyond the screen, inviting fans to step directly into the world of Zootopia in new, imaginative ways.
This campaign is an extension of our “Say it in a Snap” brand campaign, underscoring Snapchat’s role in deepening connections between friends and family. Because on Snapchat, a Snap is much more than a message — it’s a quick, visual way to communicate that feels spontaneous, personal, and real. That spirit comes to life through Clawhauser using “Snapcat” in the film. Check it out:
